The Service is fortunate to be the recipient of financial and ‘in kind’ support from a large number of organisations and individuals within the Goulburn Valley. A proportion of this support comes from people and organisations that, on their own initiative, organise fund-raisers for the benefit of the Service. Their activities in support of the Service reflect the esteem with which the community regards the work of the Service.
GV Hospice is able to provide a twenty-four hour, seven day a week service to the community free of charge. The communities generosity and support allows the Service to continue the important work of meeting the needs of the person, family and carers within the local community.
Donations
Donations help make a real difference to those within our community living with a terminal illness.
The Service is endorsed by Australian Tax Office (ATO) as a Deductible Gift Recipient therefore gifts of money of $2 or more may be tax deductible.
Donations can be made to the Goulburn Valley Hospice Care Service in several ways:-
- Donations can be made directly to the Service
- Bequests are welcomed by the Service
- Donation envelopes, ‘in memory of a person’ are available at memorial services

Donations are receipted and tax deductible, so please reference your name and be sure you email us with your name and address details so we can forward your receipt.
Become a Regular Donor
You may like to consider making becoming a GVHCS regular donor and support the Service on a regular basis. This means that you can nominate a sum to be donated to GVHCS at regular intervals (monthly, quarterly, six-monthly or annually). By becoming a regular donor, you will be establishing a donation schedule that is as short term or permanent as you wish. You can change or cancel your donation at any time.
We welcome and appreciate all donations
The following illustrates some of the costs involved in providing comprehensive care and how the funds donated may be spent:
$60 pays for one hour of lymphatic drainage for a patient OR one hour of home care.
$100 pays for oxygen therapy for a patient for a month.
$180 pays for hire and delivery of a comfortable recliner chair for a patient for a month
$208 pays for one GVHCS vehicles to be on the road for one month visiting patients and families.
